Shared Activity Sites

Twin Lakes is situated on 470 acres with two lakes, rolling hills, woods and areas where there are countless opportunities for wide range of activities. Our lakes provide opportunities for fishing and canoeing. Organize a team sport on our game field complete with volleyball net, soccer goals, backstop, and plenty of room for any sport or game you might want to play. Cool off in our swimming pool, climb to the top of our 55-foot climbing tower, zip through the air on our challenge course or shoot some hoops in our covered basketball pavilion that also houses a stage and picnic tables. Kids - and kids at heart - enjoy our lookout tower, multi-level tree house and playground, hayrides and bonfires. Play hard or take a quiet walk along our trails. With all this available, you won't have a hard time finding something to do.

Disc Golf

The Twin Lakes Disc Golf Course is a beautifully planned 9 hole course. Maps, scorecards and rules of the game are kept in the Main Office and the discs are on the front porch. Firetower

The 100 foot tall Firetower was purchased and reassembled at Twin Lakes in the late 90's. It has a great view of the entire campus, and you can also see miles in every direction. It is particularly beautiful around dusk and twilight. As long as guests are on site, we will have it unlocked and ready for your enjoyment.

South Beach

On the South Beach, you have a pick of either canoeing or beach volleyball. The South Beach is located right in the center of camp and is a great place to hang out. We keep lifejackets, paddles, and volleyballs on hand so all you have to do is show up.

Canoeing

You are welcome to enjoy canoeing any time of the year. During the summer months you can explore the South Lake, but for the rest of the year, you can canoe in either the North or South Lake. Just remember to wear a lifejacket and paddle before you get on the water.

Treehouse

One of the most popular and unique recreation areas is the Treehouse area. The Treehouse boasts a 3-story treehouse with a tubeslide that exits from the first level. There are also four-square courts, a toddler playground, jungle gym, swing set, tetherball, and also several giant v-swings, which everyone loves.

Hammockland

You can take the rafts, canoe across the North Lake, or even take bridges and trails to get to one of our favorite spots at Twin Lakes, Hammockland. It is just across the North Lake from some of the busiest places at Twin Lakes, but it is a great spot to take a nap or just kick back with friends in the trees. There are several hammocks and even a couple of picnic tables.

Pavilion

The Pavilion houses a covered full court for basketball. It also has lots of four-square courts and all the balls basketball and playground balls you could ever need. There are picnic tables surrounding the basketball court which makes it a great place to hang out and keep in the shade. There is also a large stage area that has many uses, and there are bathrooms for your convenience.

Activity Field

The Activity Field is downhill from the Pavilion and Firetower. There is room on the Activity Field for hundreds of people to play. You can enjoy ultimate frisbee, soccer, football, and even baseball, softball or kickball. We have a well supplied shed filled with athletic equipment that is at your disposal. In addition, there is a volleyball net and a softball backstop already set up. A garbage can and picnic table are ready for your use.

Tennis Courts

There are three tennis courts near the heart of camp. You can use the racquets and balls that are in the equipment shed on the courts or bring your own. The courts can be lit at night if you prefer. Just remember to let us know and we will be more than happy to illuminate your match!

Walking Trails

If you simply want to enjoy the beauty of God's creation, paved walking trails wind their way all over the developed parts of the campus. There are benches and picnic tables scattered around Twin Lakes, all of which have a view of the beautiful lakes and woods. For those of you who want a more rugged experience, there are miles of less developed trails around the Outback area of the campus.

Rafts

There are several activities available on the North Lake. From the Treehouse area, you can take the pier to the rafts and pull yourself across the lake to Hammockland. There are two rafts; the first of which takes you from the Treehouse area to Independence Island (we shoot fireworks from this island during Fireworks Camp on the week of July 4th). The second raft takes you from Independence Island to Hammockland. If no one else is around you are even welcome to fish from the rafts.

Horseshoes

If you are looking for a good standby activity, horseshoes is an extremely fun and easy game that everyone enjoys. Located near the treehouse, the horseshoe pit a simple pleasure that will keep you entertained for hours.
